Last week I had the opportunity to make a break on my daily activities to attend the Mexico's 63rd Chess Open Championship in the city of Leon, Guanajuato. This event officially sets my return to chess competition after many years of absence, since I retired for a long time to focus on other activities.
This has been a very grateful experience and personally I didn't have had the chance to attend such a big tournament before, also I had not played at a national level tournament 20 years back! There's no doubt I'll always going to be so much exciting to meet new opponents from other places.
I had a fine start by obtaining some victories but the competition become harder as the tournament went by. At the end I scored 4 points from a total of 8, yet so far from the first places but it I think it was not too bad for a comeback after many years without playing.
Thanks a lot to everyone who made it possible, I hope to be present on the forthcoming competitions.
